Guys guys .. dun need to get worked up. P800 has 2 versions ... P800 is euro version which I am sure they would implement the T9 function and P802 is the asia version with chinese input so thats the one without the t9. very good examples are t68m and t68mc ... m has t9 .. mc does not ..

@Froddan

It is not forbidden here either but it is just of security reasons I bring it up. I don't want anyone to get hurt.

Yea, it's legal in Sweden, at least so far. And with the help of T9, it takes less of your attention than the car stereo does. You hardly have to look at the text, and you can hold the phone at windshield height to have a quick look. This post was posted from a T68i

Not getting what? As long as it's not prohibited by law, I don't see a reason why I couldn't do it. It's not like I'm the only one in the whole world to use my cell phone while driving, or am I?

does the p800 have a code list? such as the t68i? I use that function to keep track of all my passwords, and I think it is a really useful function

why do you need t9 when you got a pen and a whole keyboard.... ???? duuhhh !!

I agree with you... until some extend.
Try SMS with one hand. I don't think I will enjoy myself if every SMS I have to take out the pen and do the stylus. Long SMS yes, but short SMS such as "Go ahead.", "Sure", "Thanks!"... I don't think so... T9 still the quickest way to do a short word SMS.

And another point, try SMS with one hand (epsecially while you are driving, or the other hand is occupied).

hmmm u shouldn't be replying to a sms when driving!! using the cellphone in car when driving is forbidden in our country!

In my country, SMS while driving is not against the rule, but talking to the phone without hands free IS.

anyway, if you are so used to T9, you can reply the SMS without looking at the keypad, just like you can type on the keyboard without looking at the keys on the keyboard.
