This will just focus on the differences between t300 and t68i as im sure most of you are familiar with the t68i (and im to lazy to write all of that stuff)
Ok got a green T300 yesterday (actually it looks black except when in direct light... nice touch) though the front cover is very sensitive to fingerprints all over (its smooth as the display of the t68i all over...) and again (as is now customary with SE phones) it looks much better in real life than on photos... its not much bigger than the t68 ... but a bit heavier and a few mm thicker...

Software: R1B008
1. First you notice is that the SE logo when you turn on the phone moves much faster... i was hoping this was the case with the screensavers too but unfortunately its not...
2. sms speed is not as fast as it should be... its faster than the old t68m's (and r2a on the t68i) but slower than r2b025 and up... WHY i ask??? SE should have got it by now... its got ezi text tho which is nice ...
3. the light in the display fades up & out like on the t39 (we want this on our t68's too ) cool touch
4. the screen appears a lot brighter... (this could be my t68m from october last year showing signs of "old" age perhaps as im under the impression the displays should be the same)
5. keypad light is green, not ericssongreen, not nokiagreen but another kind of pleasant green... nice touch although im sure most people prefer white or blue.
6. no calendar (but notes are there), code memo, or voice dial, no indication on how much battery life is left when you slide the volume key up & down?!?? (no its not charging)
7. some menues labled differently .. (confused me a bit )
8. sms keys changed........ yes thats right.... now characters is on the "1" key... the "0" key makes 0's... # makes spaces... and its only possible to change a word using the joystick... confusing... but maybe its better?
9. the joystick (although it looks strange) is much better than both the t68 & the 7650... good work..
10. when you select to who you want to send the message there is now an option to add more than one person WOHOO (please give us this in a t68 upgrade)
11. the keys are small but good...
12. there are some updated versions of the 4 seasons themes which are a bit nicer
13. you can delete all manually typed wap urls in the wap part (wheeee can we get this in t68i too???)
14. gprs handling seems different as the phone never asks you if you want to disconnect, but does it on its own when you're done wapping and so on... and no data counter comes up after a gprs session, so you have to check in the menu manually... cant decide if this is good or bad...
15. menus are as fast as the t68i r5a020
16. you can finally send mails without typing in topic and text (useful when sendning pictures)
17.the polyfonic ringtones are very cool (just ordinary midifiles... plenty of them on the net and FREE in contrast to nokias smart message payshit...)
18. mp3 player, radio and headset work of course (will test data cable when i get mine back, heard someone were having trouble with it)
19. the cover requires quite a bit of skill to get off... and im sure someone will break theirs if they dont read the manual before trying you have to press the sides of the phone to lift it off... not clever... but at least it works...
20. bad thing... the phone dosent play amr files through the speaker this is bad when you get a mms with a .amr file as you have to hold the phone to your ear to hear the sound... this should be possible... perhaps a software upgrade?

thats about what i could think of right now... feel free to ask if you'd like to know anything

the new themes (to dl to your t68i) and a shitload of midis are on epedemic.dk/t300

Hello,

Does the speed of using Call List and Phonebook improve compare with T68i R2F?

The status menu really doesn't show the remaining standby time?
And is the animated GIF moving as slow as in T68i R2F?

Thanks

Assuming that the t68i is an improvement on the t39m, then can you create calling groups? If so then do so, then you can send sms to more than one person-groups! Hope this helps. This post was posted from a T39

true... but that would not be as good as to be able to select multiple recipients everytime you send a sms... but you can ALSO create groups in t300

You can install as many games as the memory lets you.

You have ~560kb to do what you want with.
Price in sweden 260 €
