Great phone and a credit to SE - really pulled this one off. I expected a whole host of bugs following 750 experience but I am in awe at SE. And to think I was so close to buying a Nokia. I havent found a single bug or gripe. Maybe could have included a memory stick - but the functionality - wow.

Most digital cameras do it too, my Sony T9 does it. It's to save chip power as you flick through for the one you want.

Hiya Guys,
Just one thing i have noticed with the K800i, is that when using the headphones on the walkman it is very quiet compared to the volume i had on my K750i and W810i. Anybody else noticed this? kinda like the problem wi th the K750i which had a low speaker volume which then got increased with a firmware update.

Baz ^_^

In the service tests they used to have a joystick counter (im going back to T68i here) when did SE do away with that?

the follow up to the T68/T68i, the T610, was the fist to not have joystick count as I recall

As I've not been around much of late, I thought I would try to catch up with the firmware situation. From looking at recent posts it seems that we have the following firmwares:

K800
----

R1CB001
- Standard EU (SEUS?) for K800
R1CC002
- Test firmware?
R1CD001
- 3 UK specific?
R1CE001
- Vodafone specific?

K790
----

R1BA021
- Standard EU for K790?

If anyone could shed some more light on this then I would be most appreciative. It seems that there are quite a lot of different firmwares out there, which is unusual at this stage in the phones life. My questions are really:

- Can people confirm / corroborate that my guesses above are correct
- Does the K790 have a different firmware version to the K800? If everyone who has a K790 PMs me their firmware verison I would be most appreciative.

I have Voda K800 and firmware is R1CE001. Had it 2 days and found no glitches at all so far despite playing with it constantly!

Upgraded from K750i and picture quality is MUCH better and phone works faster. Keypad is nice and joystick as easy to use as on K750i. Still love my K750i but K800 is defintely a slicker performer and what with watching Sky on 3G it performs very well, been watching Wimbledon and Big Brother in full screen landscape mode and very comfortable to watch.
