@naveedaziz83: I'm actually using a prepaid account. Tried using different Internet profiles. It really depends on the network settings of your service provider.

Hi!

This is my W900i request for help with GMail thread

I read this thread and this one and also downloaded

Equifax Secure Certificate Authority.crt
Equifax_Secure_Certificate_Authority.cer
getrootcert.cer
thawte_Premium_Server_CA.cer
thawte_Server_CA.cer
ThawtePremiumServerCA.cer
ThawteServerCA.cer

and bluetoothed them, to my W900i

I use the settings -

Account name - W900i
email address - my_email@gmail.com
Connect using - o2 Prepay GPRS
Connection Type IMAP4

Incoming Server: imap.gmail.com

Username - my_email@gmail.com and have also tried my_email as the user name
password - ******** and have triple checked it

Download - Headers and Text
Check Interval - 5 minutes

Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com

Username - my_email@gmail.com and have also tried my_email
password - ******** and have triple checked it

Your name - ofiaich
Signature - left it blank

Copy outgoing - sent to my main address

Encryption - Incoming server and outgoing server -SSL

Incoming Port - 993
Outgoing Port - 587 BUT I also read that 465 can be used for Outgoing and tried it.

But still no success.

I get a wrong mailbox or password error.

I have also tried use googlemail.com instead of gmail.com

Any ideas would be much appreciated?

Obvious thing to ask... but I assume you have setup you Gmail Account via the web application to enable POP etc. (as the default is to have this disabled !) ?

Also I assume you are not on O2 payando ? (if so they restrict access to the servers.)

Other than that... no idea.

and O2 payandgo service confirmed it.
