Hi Im just wondering has anyone tried a 8GB card in an K750i??

Also I noticed cost was a big deterent to many of you . I was just wondering have any of you had any expeariance with buying MSPD's off of ebay. I heard that most of them are fake (particularly the ones form hong kong) but does anyone know if they still have full functionallity and work well generally?? I am considering ordering a 8 GB stick off of ebay.

Ultra II's have higher transfer speeds, but phones are not equipped to take advantage of the higher speeds so it would just be a waste of money. they are designed more for digital cameras and their rapid bursts of shots.

music and video on a standard sandisk memory stick is perfectly fine.

Is this 8GB card already OUT I mean if it was just bein' SOLD this late . . . I'm not so sure how the marketing-strategy on it was planned Considering that latest fones now USES M2 cards how do they think that this NEW-8GB card will be saleable? Or perhaps their MAIN target is for the Sony Digicams?

the speed difference is apparently with the MSD as opposed to the phone itself. i use a card reader to load data onto my MSD's. completely filling up my 2GB MSD with the reader takes 12 to 13 min. however, doing the same with the 4GB takes approximately an hour. although i am putting double the amount of data on the 4GB, the write speed is clearly slower.

When doing file transfer tests it's important to note the amount of files and their sizes. Number of files affects the transfer speed greatly in my experience.

Wouldn't it be great if you could partition your memory card?

$300
price of a Sony 8 GB MSDP

$275
price of a W810i

$250
price of an 8GB iPod Nano (which trounces for music sync, navigation, and playback)

needs to ditch this overpriced proprietary-memory crap and just go with Micro SD like everyone else :

@boba - I think this will apply to EVERYTHING . . . not just with . . . even with Nokia, Samsung, Motorolas . . . and almost with every commodity that you find out in the market.
