Haiyan battered my country really bad, even though I lived on the northern portion of Philippines, those in the central region just lost everything. floating corpses, wrecked homes and debris all over the place, it pains me to see such thing with my very own eyes. My country gets hit by dozens of strong Typhoons(Hurricanes/Cyclones) every year and we're used to such things, but what's always difficult to accept is the amount of destruction of both property and lives that each passing typhoons inflict to my country. I have friends living on the central region and up to this point I don't have any form of contact with them. I'm worried and scared of whatever happened with them.

Quite sad to hear that. I've not read much about it, but I know it's not a thing. My prayers go to yours and your country.

I've been reading about this disaster on BBC News razec and there are some horrible stories. It's very sad indeed. The storm is now heading towards Vietnam and Southern China.

The typhoon was terrible , there's actually a wikipedia article about it:

Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda

Same with razec I also live on the northern portion of the Philippines so we are fine, there were strong winds though, although not as bad as those who live on the central part (Visayas) of the Philippines who got hit very hard.

Deepest thanks to the people who offered prayers and countries that offered aid for the Philippines. Hopefully neighboring countries will be fine as well and recover from the calamity.

It's such a sad day, the weather here in Joburg is even overcast . I'm friends with two of his grandchildren, both so distraught, it's going to be a difficult Christmas for them.

Yesterday I had a car accident. I'm ok thanks God. So is the other guy. It will take a while to get the car working fine again.
