WOW! What a gang! It was just a comment.
I wasn’t expecting so many helping hands
Thank you guys

@Masseur
very strange, I find it almost impossible to type the wrong
key due to the error correction, and everyone I know with the iphone, and
those who have posted here on Esato in the iphone discussion have
aclaimed the error correction on the keyboard as near perfect
Hi Masseur,
I’m listening to you man. I’ll pay attention to virtual keyboards. The iPhone
was my first experience. It felt I have to pay attention to too many little
things (key pops, little boxes etc) instead of just typing. Perhaps I’m bias
against iphone. (half phone). With respect to iPhone owners, I call my
brother an idiot for buying that stuff)

@Myth®
I don't know, if SE have added a Keyboard which provides
a similar onscreen typing experience to that of the iphone, but if you
believe that it is not the best but closest match for your needs, you may try
Resco Keyboard: http://www.resco.net
Thank you Myth®
Looks great maybe better than the IPhone it seems to have more options:
Stylus, different layouts, skins, math. I have only one question, will it work
on WVGA? Landscape?

@The_mont
I've had the X1 for 5 days now, and whilst I used to
type extremely quickly with one hand, using T9, I'm now happily typing
quite fast using the keyboard.
Obviously some people love virtual keyboards, but personally I like to feel
keys. I think the keyboard is good, and keys travel sufficiently to know
you've press them.
Only thing missing is a bunch of smiley's, lol.
Chris
I’m happy for you Chris,
It’s always feels good when someone reassures what we believe. When I
get my Xperia the very first thing I will do is put my fingers on it and feel
that keyboard.
Thanks.

@pinguino

Yes, it works in both modes and I have no idea how it will look on a VGA or WVGA screen, but it should work.

Maybe someone here can try it out and tell us how it looks on a X1.

After about 24 hrs using the phone, I'm getting used to windows mobile OS
(this is my first winmo device). I'm happy that the phone is fast because
this is the main reason I hate P990.

Since using P800, I'm used to handwriting recognition using stylus.... and
quite scared if the handwriting recognition of X1 is not as good as the P
series.... Luckily, after trying several handwriting options in the Xperia, I
found out that `letter recognizer' format is most similar to P series
handwriting recognition where you have three separate area for capital
letters, numbers and small letters... and it works nicely. Well done !
Hi MyP910,
Thanks for mentioning "letter reconizer". I was discussing above virtual
keyboards. I remember now when i had a Palm Pilot similar to what you
mention. It was fantastic I was able to write down a conversation or
conference without ever looking at the device without missing a word.
Thank you for let it me know, there more typing options in the Xperia.

I have been travelling around in Sweden and Germany this week and have finally been able to try its reception.
My verdict: Sony Ericsson definitely need to sort the problems.
While my Nokia N82 remain connected with my operator did X1 lose it way too many times to find it unacceptable.
WiFi as I have mentioned before is not particularly good and it's also slower than than all phones I have tried.

Other issues worth to mention are the Opera browser which is very sluggish from time to time and occasionally gives me error messages.
SMS typing is slow and with any media player activated, it's a pain to use.
Some received MMS just wont open unless I change to portrait mode.
One can guess my dissatisfaction about this product which I consider not being fully completed.
I don't know who to blame in this case? Is it Windows or is it Sony Ericsson?

I hope any Sony Ericsson or Windows representative is reading this.

sorry, ramintop, I've deleted that pretty pic, but here's the display comparison one. I'll have plenty more in my upcoming review of X1.

Here are some questions for X1 owners: when playing music with the X1, can you go to another panel or any other part of the phone and continue listening? Can you use hardware keys to control the player? How do you go about changing music, and locking the phone if its in your pocket?

Also, is it true that everyone can hear a call when the call speaker is on?

What about regular Java based software (games and apps) that A1 and A2 can run? Can the X1 run those (albeit in a smaller area of the screen)?

Could someone please answer any of these?

How did you get tha TouchFlow 3D?

Does that X1 only have one speaker or 2 speakers?

Touchflow:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/ytzjazmmwyi/TF3D_HD.CAB

Download .cab file to your X1 and click on it, it will self-install. N.B. Do it when you have some downtime (takes 30-40 mins to install!) so don't interrupt it, to prevent problems.

It has one speaker phone, which is standard.

Chris

Thanks Chris for a fast respone
I dont have tha phone yet
But i was hopin that tha media player will improve with a new software or FW
But im still gonna get one!!

To All
