Hi,

Any help with this would be really appriciated.
I own a Z710i which I love, but I thought about getting a phone with GPS/3G and a bigger screen, and the best option seemed the Z750i. I bought one on eBay - new and sealed with all the covers intact.

It was locked to the '3' network in the UK. I went to a phone store to get it unlocked, but they told me that they managed to unlock it (Phone can load and no longer shows "Insert Correct USIM") but now it won't connect to my network, O2. O2-UK is displayed on screen for about a minute, but then is replaced with "Inactive USIM". I can't make any calls or send any texts even when it shows O2.

The guys at the store thought it was stolen or an international handset, which is unlikely because the phone was sealed and came from a respectable seller. However, I noticed that it still has the crappy '3' software on it, with ugly icons and branding all over. Also, 3 only use UMTS networks, and not GPRS, so I'm thinking it's something to do with that software. Also, unusually, the manually select network option is disabled.

Do you think I should get the phone returned, or try flashing the software to see if that works?

Thanks
