Depends, which will be released first MT710 or XT701; looks like BOTH in your photos at the top of the page show video calling. Heck I didn't even noticed that no Android phone supports video calling!

I still don't like that ridge under the camera on the XT701, looks like a poor Lego design from Motorola but it'll sell and a LOT better than Nokia's N770/N800/N810/N900 ALL combined. Funny Motorola was on the brink of being broken up, handheld division being sold (just to save costs), and now their beating Nokia at their own game.

How can you compare these to the Maemo devices? The Maemo devices were released to a limited amount of countries, including N900 which due to demand had to be released to more.
Anyway, glad to see MOTO getting back in the game! , this year is already looking good in the mobile industry and it hasnt even been a full 1st month of 2010.

Well considering Google, Mr. Do-No-Evil (Bullshit3) has full control over the FREE OS that is licensed as open-source can be controlled by them along affecting a Motorola and an HTC from being released in China this month delayed until all issues resolved ... don't expect that Motorola to be released on time for the USA.

Right now Google is playing Mr. Evil card and I hope they get a punch in the nads for it!

Thanks for the posts ... but this is just a glorified high end device (not too much unlike the N95 in its heyday) with piss-poor OS to deliver properly besides media.

If you want this for media only then you should be looking at tablets.
If you want this for a phone, be prepared for compromises.

Still its a nice looking device. Motorola's best in 10yrs by far.
