> Problems with screen on sgh-u600

Hey ppl,
my gf has a Samsung SGH-U600 and her phone fell once, cracking the screen, but the one above, the protection screen, the one you can touch. After a few days, her screen below, the one producing the image went to this:
it's supposed to be a picture of Alxi Laiho... A normal one
I thought it was from the fall, but it happened a few days after it fell... Can it be fixed by repairing the software? Or is it damage from the fall?
Thanks

Not sure myself but it could be either the cracked screen or the flex cable between the phone & slider. Or something is cracked inside. But sure it can be fixed but I don't know if your refering to doing it yourself?

Thats the flex ribbon. Remove it from each side and reinsert. Should do it. If not then you need to replace the actual lcd.
Funny I saw this thread. I'm just repairing a silver U600 atm that has a black screen when powered up. The backlights all work fine and the screen illuminates but in black. The flex ribbon is where i'm starting at on it.
If its the screen then its no point even replacing it as the cheapest screen is £40 which is about what a new one would cost.

Is it still in warrenty? If so send it for repair. If not, there should be some form of phone place that unlocks and repairs phones in your town that should do it

Just got around to repairing the U600 I have in. It was the flex cable. All I did was disconnect it as mentioned previously and reconnect it. Put the phone back together and its working fine now. Another happy customer tomorrow
Oh you can view a very accurate guide
HERE which is really easy to follow.
