Yes, I think the recalculation problem is software related or rather, OS/hardware related. Since it's confirmed that Garmin and Ovi suck on Satio, and people using other phones are not, I can conclude that the problem is related to the OS/hardware.

Do you use Garmin XT? it work best on my Satio along with Sygic

Yes, I do and it has the same problems: Route recalculation and car moving while I'm stationary.

Oh really...
well to be honest i dont travel that far. I use it during my commute to work and back about 25mins to 30mins drive and a few times i stop for gas at the station but it has no problems so far with Garmin and Sygic but Ovi just freeze sometimes when recalculating.

Well, I think Sygic handles the inaccuracy better, most of the time it's doing a guessing job or ignoring the problem. Regardless of software, if you open up your position app (look into the "location" folder), you can see that the speed is jumping around even when you are completely stationary. A slight difference is normal (5km/hr or less) but more than 10km/hr isn't.

Mine reports that I'm moving at 14km/hr when I'm standing under a clear sky.

well, after updating to the latest firmware
i removed Nokia maps, kept only the garmin XT
and i purged the gps data

so far as i tested the recalculating problem has gone
though i was only driving for short distances
also i think cuz i have only 1 gps app to use helped

am traveling next week which will give me a real test..

still am facing 2 problems , which i think its about garmin
as i used to have them before in X1 though it always had great signal

it always show me that am 5-10 behind where am actually driving
also the speed always 5-10 less than my actual drving speed..

i did not check sygic as garmin has the best maps for my area, and easiet
search,,

That should be normal, and it's also in the old firmware and other symbian phones, so I call that a "feature". As far as I'm concern, Garmin does recalculate but lesser on highways and major roads. Once you are in the city with loads of intersections, all hell breaks loose. Give it a try and let us know!

@DrewVL

BTW, what Ovi Map version are you using? Did you try the one with 3.01 09wk44 or 3.01 09wk36 or 3.01 09wk26?

Yesterday I drove over 1000 km with Satio and Sygic Mobile 10. The speed on screen was exactly as on speedometer.
I was surprised by the phone. With earlier software it was 5-10 km less than at speedometer.

Yes. It catches signal after 15-20 seconds. Earlier FW it was about 2 minutes.
