How do I change the sms/message tone to something else then the original ones? I have transfered some via BT, but can't change the tone to one of them.

Sorry I forgot to tell you I have an X10.

If you mean on the X10 (seeing as this is in the Android section) then you need to make a folder called "notifications" on the SD either in the root directory or in another folder called "Media"

For ringtones put them in a folder called "ringtones" either on the root directory of the SD or in another folder called "Media".
For notifications/message tones use a folder called "notifications"
For alarms use a folder called "alarms"

No, you can add as many files in there as you like and they will appear in the relevant list. e.g. sound files added to the ringtones folder will appear in the list of available ringtones in settings
