Get your iPhone officially unlocked!
1) Go to the
link and fill in your details
2) For Pay and Go, make sure you have at least £15 credit
(3) Obtain your IMEI number by typing *#06# in the phone screen)
4) Wait upto 14 days for a text
5) Once you receive the text, sync your iPhone to iTunes with another network sim inside and your phone will be officially unlocked as per the onscreen message
It's free for contract phones (you still need to complete your outstanding term) and Pay and Go customers will need £15 credit and will lose the free internet/Wifi bolt on.

This has been available since last November, its how I unlocked mine
Its also what I plan to do (of course) if I choose O2 for this next one
