I want to get my daughter some sort of iphone stand with good speakers and maybe some other features.

What is good out there with quality sound but not too expensive, and maybe can work on mains or battery and so fairly portable?

suggestions please

Hey masseur, I like either the Bose Sounddock Portable or the Harman Go + Play.

Neither will function as a speakerphone though but will play music and charge the iPhone.

I have a brand new Sony C1iPMK2 ipod/iphone speaker clock radio. But its got stereo speakers and a good punchy sound. It does work with iphone i got it for £69 from Argos. Its very good not too big but bigger than your average clock radio with a nice display
