It is a pity that in the current smartphone camera is not prioryterem as it was in the Nokia 808
Maybe lenses from Carl Zeiss or Leica would improve the picture quality of Samsung smartphones?

808 is better ofcourse - resize to same 16mp resolution as G4

LG G4 image is oversharpening , lens and sensor are pretty good

The 808 was about 4 (maybe even 5) years ahead of the smartphone imaging curve... so we should see something better or at least as good soon.

I suspect that we would have seen it already if Nokia was still in the game, but I really have no idea what Microsoft is doing with the PureView team and their R&D projects.

Shei , Panasonic Lumix CM1 is the Best cameraphones in present day. This is noob compare for nothing - no good light, no good idea , no good composition. Ofcourse 808 still Best , but no has RAW , no has OS. I keep 808 forever

Not like the results obtained from the Panasonic CM1, mainly in manual mode, even in daylight all the images have very noise !

In my opinion, the LG G4 is the best cameraphone currently available for sale because in addition to having superior image quality also has the same manual settings of Panasonic cameraphone !!!

I disagree with you... Absolutely all manual controls present in the CM1 camera are also present in the G4 camera (control shutter speed, iso, mode RAW and etc) with the advantage that the G4 has a better JPEG output !

Therefore, the G4 camera is not only great point and shot camera phone, it is also suitable for advanced users !!!
