sorry to hear that Sean. What with the XZ and then the Note 3 you've had some bad luck with phones this year.

The XZ was crap anyway should have learned my lesson not to sign up to a new contract with a Sony phone. Yes slipped down a few steps and fell onto the actual phone it almost snapped in half. Anyway i know it's Note 2 thread but the Mega so far i seem to love it more than most Samsung devices I've had before even better specced models. Just something about it. The huge screen at 6.3 inches is such a pleasure to browse on and not at all pixelated like reviewers make out. It's very sharp and bright with more natural colours than Super AMOLED. Performance for a dual core is surprisingly lag free. Build quality is rock solid too. The Mega is not as unwieldly to handle as expected and smaller than Z Ultra. Battery and camera fab too Got it for £293 Amazon

Ouch, that's bad luck
But keep in mind: better break a phone, than an arm or leg!

Merry Christmas, peeps

Congratulations buddy. Thats cool. Enjoy! I've played on a couple now and really enjoy how fast and nippy it is. Is it worth upgrading from a Note 2, yes definitely , but not enough for me. I pretty much have all the Note 3 features on my Note 2 with Ditto Note 3 rom. Software wise I have a hybrid N2/N3.
Hardware wise is where that Note 3 shows its strength. Its pretty fast and a real pleasure to use.Great phone.
I am fortunitely content and will patiently wait for the Galaxy Note 4.

Android 4.4 KitKat might be available for the Galaxy S3, Note 2 and Grand 2 Duos after all

Im running DN3 v4.1 BETA2 which uses the NB4 4.4.2 Leak as the base rom. Everything running good. Looking forward to the finished product from Sammy.

Link for this awesome Note 3 hybrid rom running KitKat

Hobbs have you tried Exposed Framework Mods? Really nice. Plenty of mods without the need to install Roms

skblakee I would get too bored if I didn't constantly try out all these different and wonderful custom roms. Each one has its charms. In the last month I've tried all the new 4.4.2 KitKat roms,Probam,Sensonic HD,Resurrection Remix and now using DN3 again since they've updated their base to 4.4.2.
Impossible to get sick of this Note 2.Theres always something new to keep me interested.
