There is ones you can download but they are not quite the same. Think the design if the older clock was looking dated and needed a refresh with minimalistic design

Some findings thus far:

1. Speakers are phenomenal - bass, miss and highs all.full.and.clear! This will be a standard I'll be looking for in every smartphone going forward, so I hope the separation from Beats, Inc. will not deter this import innovation.

2. Love the screen, clarity and real colours - not OLED oversaturation - makes video and app usage a joy; except where apps suck!
- some android users hate iOS but I have to tell you the quality of the apps, some, are so much better. Example: Bloomberg for Smartphone on android has some washed out blacks in title bars or around video showcase borders in the news carousel, iOS or even Bb10 doesn't exhibit this for their respective versions, so why on Android? Some say big deal, but it is we'rd viewing and interacting with our phones more than tv and soon or already for.most in the western world more than our computers!

3. I need a very powerful & precise File Manager app. Is like the GUI to be non cartoonish similar to lonely cat games back.in S60 days.

4. Since mine is from the carrier though no bloatware branding that I can find, why the helm can't I select multiple items in the Gallery to.move or delete?!! Hence the post. #3 above.

5. The front 2.1 mp camera is outstanding for Skype video.calls!

Q's:
Hangouts I don't use it hate being prompted to use it how do I permanently kill this app, feature or function?! Same with G+ ??

Emoji, any proper add on to existing or other recommended keyboards, please? I'd like emoji to.work as it does on iOS and work in all apps so the viewer sees them.

Speaking about Keybaords, I was quite font of the one on BB10, is there any I can a) select 1/2/3 languages, then for it to auto recognize while I'm typing in one langauge, say English, and should I switch to another, say espanol/Latin, Que beben usted typed on the fly recognizes spell checks and uses proper context within the sentence?!?! I've had so many arguments about this with android users on other threads and when demonstrated they could not point any one keyboard that did this inclusive (on another forum of course).

Is Sony's Z1 music player any good?!

Does HTC One M7 support ControlTalk headphones like iPhone does???

Thanks in advance everyone.

2. WRT the Bloomberg app, there is Bloomberg+ app which has a more modern UI, I think it maybe exclusive to Samsung Androids though as I found it in Samsung App Store for my GS4, I can't seem to find it in Play Store, here's how it looks:

3. Funny you should mention good ol' LCG, as the legendary S60 3rd party file manager, X-Plore is available in PlayStore, you can also try Astro File Manager, ES File Explorer and File Manager (Explorer) by Rhythm Software.

WRT Hangouts and G+, go to Settings -Application Manager -if it has a tabbed UI go to All, find G+, click on it and click Disable (let it uninstall latest updates if necessary), find Hangouts and do the same.

Hope that helps

By the way, may I ask why you chose the Htc One and not a BB Z30? Thought you were very happy with BB10.

That's good 4.3 but HTC do need to stop this carrier specific handsets and do what Samsung does and present it to all carriers which will create more sales. And stop confusing consumers with different variants.

You're joking right? Take a look at the SGS 2/3/4 and there is at least 3 versions a piece with varying bands - gsmarena.

TSep,

Great tips much appreciated. X-Plore looks so busy in android, that or I'm getting old lol. I'll try File Explorer for now against Android File Manager.

Bloomberg looks pretty much the same from the PlayStore as 'Bloomberg for Smartphone'.

I see button with "12#" and a smiley face in upper cased on the same button under the left shift key. Unfortunately these don't look like emoji just standard smileys and it's one page only

many thanks guys. Right now this is my only computing platform of any kind and looks to be that way for a few months so hopefully this works.

Pictures are looking really impressive getting used to taking them is different from common thought on other devices.
