@Supa_Fly No, I didn't get myself one for Christmas.

My fear is that they will decrease the screen size or remove the pencil input feature in the second generation. Some who might know say Sony consider these two aspects part of the reasons for a disappointing return on the first generation.

so, following the latest firmware update, we got the white balance setting to play with

thing is I don't think I need to tweak it all that much, do you guys have some settings to share? curious to try them out
I really think the Z U does no need this setting as it's display is pretty much perfect

yeah, on xda there are more users, or at least ACTIVE ZU users, tho there's a CLUSTERf**k or tutorials for rooting and stuff that I'm too lazy to follow.

what matters is I'm really happy with my ZU ^_^

Really want Z Ultra size with 'any pen' input but I'm not going to buy until later in the year and they may not keep those two key (to me) features in the Z2 Ultra.

Leaves me with a decision:

Buy now and take the hit that I've used my Xperia Z for less than a year
Wait and buy the current version but in Q4 - it'll be cheaper by then, but 'old' hardware (seriously not cool)
Wait and buy the new version regardless of whether it is missing these features

What do I do!?

Do you need a phone now? Buy! Otherwise wait till you need one.
If you a geek and it's your hobby, buy now and worry later...

For my next upgrade (which is still a couple months off) I'm looking to try something different. Thinking of maybe trying the 2nd gen Sony Z Ultra. Any ideas when this beast will be rearing it's beautiful head?

Just checked. Upgrade available 19th July 2014. At the moment its between Samsungs Galaxy Note 4 and Sony's Z Ultra 2. Which ever one comes out first gets my money.
