Oscar winner and comedian Robin Williams died this morning at 63. While his publicist wouldn’t confirm that his death was a suicide, a rep did issue this statement. “Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.”

Depression doesn't discriminate and it doesn't matter if your rich or poor anyone can suffer from it. Poor man RIP. Someone said "what does Robin Williams have to be depressed about?" Such a narrow minded view. Depression isn't just like oh I'm feeling down or fed up it's more to it than that and it makes me angry people are so narrow minded about it. Just cos he was famous doesn't mean he's going to be happy

He didn't stop being human because he was famous. Also, as famous, he was never involved in scandals. At least what I can recall.

Did you know that Robin Williams got angry with Disney for using his voice as the Genie in Aladdin to sell merchandise for the movie because “I don’t want to sell stuff. It’s the one thing I won’t do,” he told New York magazine. Disney attempted to make up for it by sending him a Picasso painting, believed to be worth $1 million, in which the artist imagined himself as Vincent van Gogh.
