Hey man don't roll the eyes! Considering the entire world wrote off BlackBerry as "going out of business or RIP RIM, and all that other noise" just over 2yrs ago their still here and lowering losses each quarter in significant amounts and now even highering employees again ... I'd say that is a phenomenal accomplishment.

91 million active monthly BBM subscribers up from 85 million last quarter is also a success. This device is nothing short of innovative design and execution now you know WHY BlackBerry won their patent lawsuit against ... what was that half assed company with some sebring star from a joke of a reality TV show again? Seacrest?

BB is surviving and back almost completely in the Black!

I'll be upgrading from my current Z30 to this bad boy!

BTW: it's "CamCorder FullHD 1080p @60 FPS" not 720 at 30 - especially since the sensor, lens and proccessor outguns the Z30 and I already can do 1080P @ 60FPS.

THUS: 1080p HD video recording at 60 fps

Also news of BlackBerry Blend for the BB Passport and BB Porsche Design P'9983 which both run on BB10.3 OS is nothing short of incredible.

For those that know BB is all about personal security and privacy. So for those that DON'T know and say oh yeah BB is late to the game with their virtual assistant I need to inform you the following:

1. BB Assistant is intelligent enough to know you and reply in kind
- You speak your command it will reply to you accordingly, with a voice.
- You type in your command it KNOWS and RESPECTS you want a little privacy and also reply's in kind; with text confirmation or executes the command silently!!
- The important thing is:
. BB Assistant has access, secure access to BOTH your secure BES10/12 secured content and your personal content (Work/Personal respectively).
>> Apple Siri nor Android's Google Now can do this with ANY secured corporate enclave.
NOT:
Samsung KNOX
Android KNOX being developed
MobileIron
Good Messaging (I tried this EVEN with iOS8 on Friday)
Trellia
or any other other 20+ corporate secure email, contacts, calendar, notes secure enclaves.

BB Assistant is using Wolfram Alpha data.

I love this phone except for one thing I find annoying... the non-removable battery! I hate that BlackBerry went this route. I am still happy with my Q10 and will wait for the successor to the Passport, hopefully, it will have a removable battery.

I am well aware that this crazy idea of non-removable batteries (no thanks Apple) is the future. i just hope that BlackBerry retains it for their full-touch phones and leave us QWERTY-loving business people with the removable battery option.

As a professional, I can say that the BlackBerry Passport was a very intriguing concept that has become an indispensable tool in my daily routine. The Passport is a purpose built device and after only a little use, I have become quite comfortable with it. It's large size may be a little disconcerting at first, but I have come to appreciate the design genius behind it in the very short time I have had the pleasure of using it.

I feel that BlackBerry - with the Passport & Z30 before it (which I own as daily) - should've been designed and qualified for IP58 ratings!

Non-Removable batteries has been around I believe before Apple; Android Verizon RAZR (Motorola), and a few others:
SE W900 and it's successor.

Larger batteries can be obtained and with small and large capacity portable charger packs ... no more need for removable battery. Don't tell me you believe in carrying a spare buried in your bag ... cause anywhere else will easily get exposed to moisture or dropping. Portable batteries a little more robost. Trust me get with the new world and get this Passport .. I'm upgrading ... VERY solid in the hands I've felt at the demo unit in Rogers store. I'm with Bell.
