Samsung displays are actually pretty colour accurate. And is currently the best in the industry. Sony panels are no way near samsungs in terms of colour accuracy, check the delta e of xz premium and s8+, it is quite evident.

@Moe87: I do not think DVS has anything to do with OIS, mainly because SteadyShot IA already works with the gyroscope and accelerometer.
If it were hybrid it would be "Balance Optical SteadyShot" a brand that has already been used in the Handycams, Not to mention that DVS name is a bit strange. (It sounds to me like the HD Rumble of the Switch
)
And finally, if I remember correctly, the possible use in digital cameras is not specified in the patent document.

Samsung perfectly calibrated display, oh crap, not that junk DisplayMate again
Preliminary factory calibrated won't have that much level of accuracy.

I'm with XJ in this matter. Don't think they'll go with sammy or LG. The JOLED pilotline can produce enough panels because Xperia sales aren't that high.and sharp is my second guess.
According to the Nikkei Asian Review, JOLED aims to raise 100 billion Yen (almost $900 million) from Japanese companies, and it has already approached Sony, Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon and Sumitomo. If this plans fails JOLED may turn to foreign companies, including Chinese ones.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan’s Sharp Corp is hoping to team up with its domestic rival Japan Display Inc in organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays to catch up with South Korean manufacturers, the Nikkei business daily reported on Monday.
“Let’s gather all Japanese talents in liquid crystal displays, develop (the OLED technology) and jointly manage,” Sharp’s new CEO, Tai Jeng-wu, told the Nikkei in an interview on Monday.
Sharp and Japan Display both plan to start mass production of OLED panels in 2018, lagging far behind the likes of Samsung Display, a unit of Samsung Electronics.
Sorry to busted you mate, but really slim chance!

NP buddy but I'm well aware of this attempt by sharp.Does not mean sharp is waiting for JDI though.
reports from Japan claim that Sharp aims to begin commercial production of flexible OLED displays for its own smartphones in the spring. Sharp's CEO today confirmed these reports, saying that Sharp will commence production in Q1 2018 and will introduce its new OLED smartphones in June or July of 2018. So if sony releases the phone in june there is a chance.not saying everything will go according to the plan but sharp is quite ahead of the schedule right now.

@ascariss maybe it is one phone for MWC, because it says January 17th..
Ok correction,
it was not a phone, but a wireless headset, PY7-37030I
A second one also appeared 2 days later, PY7-13007N. so they might be sony mobile wireless headsets, perhaps like the apple wireless airpods.
That being said,
another phone appeared PY7-21831A. This appears to be the MWC device I feel looking at the dimensions and label location, label comes out of the top and not the side.
here are the dimensions from the documents
overall length x width - 152.79 mm x 72.42 mm
overall diagonal - 165.695 mm
screen diagonal: 145 mm - 5.7 inches
XZ Premium for comparison
overall length x width - 156 mm x 77 mm
For comparison, the G6 has a 5.7 inch screen, so bezel wise, we are looking at something similar to the G6 with a bit more bezel.
LG G6: 148.9 mm x 71.9 mm, the sony would be about 4 mm taller and 0.6 mm wider.
Time to calculate the screen to body size. Assuming we are looking at a 18:9 screen we can use Pythagoras to calculate the sides. (hopefully my math is correct)
a^2 + b^2 = c^2 (a=18x, b=9x, c=145)
(18x)^2 + (9x)^2 = (145)^2
324x^2 + 81x^2 = 21025
405x^2 = 21025
x^2 = 51.913580246913580246913580246914
x = 7.2051079274993223550962262659119
Rounding off, x = 7.21 mm
so screen size is, 129.78 mm x 64.89 mm
area of screen is = 8421.4242 mm^2
area of body is = 11065.0518 mm^2
screen to body ratio = 76.1%
This does seem kind of low but is within 2% of the G6, but still better than the current XZP of 68.4%. I made a quick image using the dimensions of body and calculated screen, it doesn't look great at first but the image is only giving a rough estimate, the real device will have curved corners and sides and so forth, making the bezels seem less.
18:9 - 76.1% screen to body ratio
16:9 - 81.2% screen to body ratio

Look like we are going to see non existent side bezels Like XA2..
But top and bottom bezels will be bigger than competitor if the dimensions are true!
.
Let's see what happens!!
