How much of an improvement over XZ2 do you think we should be expecting for shots in good lighting conditions? Since they have only really talked about low-light capabilities... but one would think that the additional monochrome sensor would help capture more detail (and therefore potentially allow more noise reduction also) in daytime shots? As others have mentioned, the samples are probably test software so not sure how reliable of an indicator they will prove to be (as an aside, have cameras in the past tended to improve noticeably between test software and final release? Or is it more minor improvements/tweaking?).

I wish he had XZ2 on him to compare.
I am so curious to see how it looks at ISO 51200/SS 1s..

My XZP has definitely improved over time. This indeed seems to be a beta version, but the results are very impressive nonetheless.

Hi, I had followed this thread a few month and finally created an account for this.

Those XZ2P samples actually is from some KOL("Key Opinion Leader") in China. They had already used the phone a few mouths ago. Clearly, the software, especially the camera, is not the latest. AFAIK, sony had made a huge progress on the camera.

I noted that those picture had some artificial sharpening and "oil planing effect".

For me, I will definitely skip the XZ2P. As SONY said, this is more like showing their new technology. Still waiting for that special device.

Not really, the releasing time is just a wild guess from that author

Just saw Find X. It looks amazing, sadly. Much better and seems way more durable than Vivo Nex.

Sony should take note from them, unless they want to be defunct by 2020.

Spek, one question. I want to know whether Sony is developing Micro LED displays or not?

Yeah with all these relative newcomers bringing more daring and cutting edge designs and (in some regard) tech, I can see Sony getting left behind tbh. It took them years to manage a redesign and we went from XZ1 to XZ2... I don't mind XZ2 design (some people seem to hate it), but it's not exactly revolutionary. Then compare that to Oppo and Vivos latest...

On another note, if the rumour about next flagship being 5.9 inch display is true, do you think that means smaller bezels? Or is that being optimistic and it will just be a large phone?

Benchmarks can identify wrongly size and camera resolution.
Probably is same screen of xz2.
