And where is Sony's folding phone or even the Xperia 1?

Seems some reviewers are having issues with their phones. I'd rather Sony not jump too fast into the folding phone business until the technology is more mature.

The Fold has issues, fine but what are Sony developing? The XZ3 was the first OLED phone, Xperia 1 using Samsung sensors, what are they doing? Show me some progress.

That's two thousand dollars for ya! Years into making and finally you have half a screen you've always wanted. But it's so fashionable, oh so shiny and very privileged.

Tablet P is their foldable device.

Let's suppose that by using Isocell instead of Exmor they save $15 per device.
Now let's suppose they sell 6.000.000 devices this year.
This would be more $80.000.000,00 ....

Maybe that's the reason. I have no idea.

enable sound. It's foldable disco ball.

My theory is because they were not prepared for this 3 cam setup, they scrapped what would have been the XZ4 and made the 1 instead. That's why 1 is the most generic Xperia. But it manages to solve a couple of problems of the prev gen. Like design, multiple camera, side fps.

We don't know what they are developing. I'm optimistic about the 5G device and the next gen 1.

Do you guys know on sony website (products page) the section people can give a score and say what they think about their phone?

Very positive comments about 10/10+.

While I'm sure there are plenty of happy owners of those phones I never take user feedback on the manufacturers page seriously because too many companies curate the feedback to mostly or only show good things. Maybe Sony does or that or maybe they don't, but that's my general rule.

Last time I checked, you can see even the one star reviews in there. Xz1 had better rating than xz2, Xa or something like that had really bad ratings. Also if I'm not mistaken, you can see the original comment or its whereabouts in there. So I'd say it is more reliable than one might think.

Except the XZ2 was miles better than XZ1.

There seems to be great misunderstanding in regards to camera hardware and software.

The Xperia 1 appears to be quite a big step forward, because:
- Despite constant criticism regarding sensor size, people ignore the more important part: the pixels are larger than ever.
- I can't say I'm happy with Sony using Samsung sensors for 2 of the 3 rear cameras, but if they get the job done, it doesn't matter.
- Raw noise reduction and raw support, finally.
- Up to 30 seconds exposure with manual control. Excellent!
- A faster lens, according to Sony.
- Excellent distortion correction of the super wide camera, according to a photo that was published here as well.
- Dual Pixel AF, Eye AF and real 10fps for stills (better than continuous focus burst - presented on the XZ1).
- Advanced video controls.
- OIS, at last. For videos, OIS + 5 axis gyro should provide outstanding results.

Obviously, the device has to prove itself, but it is very promising.
