They somehow claim that the imx555 is superior to imx557. I doubt this.
Perhaps the difference is in 3D iToF compatibility.

I just rechecked Sony's product page and they are clearly pointing towards 557. What intrigues me is the telephoto sensor the most. I wonder what they did to improve its sharpness?

My guess is software, and if so, it should come to 1ii together with 10bit 120fps 4K HDR.
