Why do you think 5G is slower than LTE?

I have no idea, maybe because I was on the move (in a tram) and it is 4G+ .. 4G+ is another name for LTE-A, LTE-Advanced or 4.5G and it's basically a faster version of 4G. It works through carrier aggregation, which allows 4G phones to receive data from multiple bands in the 4G spectrum. So while standard 4G only uses one band at a time, 4G+ can combine two bands for increased speeds.
(got a message from Sony this evening, the headphones will come with the post on Monday)

Here in N.America ... (USA specifically) AT&T uses this 5G label when it's really 4G+/LTE-A yet its complete JUNK because it's just an aggregation of their own towers, no other partners are included. The speeds are much lower than regular 4G and the latency is insanely high. Lots of customers have complained or churned to competition.
Still ... its a far cry of getting 43.8/54.6KBps that I still remember surfing WAP pages and getting IMAP4 emails on my Ericsson T28 World phone. oh yeah and that ... a 'World' phone that preceded 3G then we all reverted back to a local zone phone to back to world phones after 3G proliferated.
