There surely must have been some incidents occurred which caused them to wake up and start biting back.

No rumours so far. I think the phone line-up is OK with 1,5 and 10 III, so my wish would be a new 4K tablet and a smartwatch based on new Google WearOS. I also think they should commit to 3 OS upgrades and find a unique way for Xperia to integrate with the Playstation community.

Folding display is still not mature yet. Sony long ago already created flexible display

If Samsung barely sells Z series, what chances Sony would. Hard to imagine they selling more than 20.000 units. Even in Japan if they has something like Z Flip/Razr.
