Well basically gprs is 2,5G, the 3G is a faster network (3rd generation network).

3G is also called UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System).

Max speed could be 2MB, enough for both live video and sound.

You should be able to find out more about it, e.g. on Yahoo or any other search-machine.

No I just work for Ericsson (EricssonRadioSystem), just makes the phones and accessories.
Ericsson does the network eqipment for 3G and for GSM also, but not here in Gävle anymore, or not for long.

I work as a technican here, faultfinding and more.

What would you like to know? I work for Hutchison in Sweden (Hi3G) we have a 3G market in the UK as well (H3G).

Just so you know for 3G this 2Mbit is just a pipe dream.......... you will be lucky to get 128 to 384 kbits......
