Honestly, forget Nokia -- the Sendo Z100 is going to be the closest T68i competitor. It actually is THE phone that will be the missing link from the P800 to the T68i. Also, Cingular in the USA has inked a deal to distribute these.

Too bad no bluetooth (yet -- they claim to have it as an add on).

Now, THIS seems like a worthy competitor.

Any thoughts?

Jeff

The screen looks awesome.. too bad the phone doesn't.
The design could've been better.

But it is a worthy competitor that's for sure..

Gee -- I just noticed, it also will hold an MMC card -- hmmm, bluetooth later, MMC now, no need for snap in MP3 player -- looking tasty .... nah .. SE rules (but this certainly deserves a peek when it arrives).

When the P800 comes, I guess the main question will be the touch screen/camera against size issue between Sendo Z100 and SE P800.

And I also bet that Sendo doesn't have the long lasting battery power issues down like SE does. The other Sendo's I tried don't have battery holding power like SE's of the same ilk (I talk a lot, I abuse batteries).

I think that the next big choice we will face will be...Stinger or symbian? The two platforms are different but I think we are on the winning side since Sony will be able to integrate phones in a much gadget richer environment. Does anyone agree? Or am I getting it wrong This post was posted from a T68

I guess that with Microsoft OS, we will see a whole new world of bugs in our phones

And what about FREE upgrades... I suppose that Bill want's his share

This phone isn't a competitor to T68i or any other small sized phone with color screen (from Nokia, NEC, Samsung, etc.).

It is meant to be a smart phone using Stinger OS. And hence falls into a comparable category as 7650 and P800, which use Symbian. But those last ones are smarter than sendo, including digital camera and MMS functionality

The screen looks nice (TFT dispaly 65k colors), but let's see what it does to the battery consumption... Resolution is the same as on 7650 and higher than on P800.

Then the availability of this phone is maybe its bigger problem. It has beed delayed numerous times already. Further Business Week magazine claimed problems for using MS OS on such devices as they consume much more battery.

Though, let's see what the market decides...

PS:
Z100 features:
Triple band EGSM/GSM900/GSM1800/GSM1900 with EFR
GPRS Class B/Type 1/Multislot Class 8 (Max 4D+1U);

2.2"/5.58cm VIS, 176x220 pixels, reflective front-lit, full graphic, 65,536 colour TFT display
Operating system based on Microsoft Platform
Internal antenna
Hands free speakerphone
Voice dial
Polyphonic ringer tones
Multimedia Card & Secure Digital card support (hot swappable)
IrDA, USB and RS-232 connectivity
Vibrating Alert
Charger
Standard battery

Looks pretty cool. This phone looks and seems a lot better than what Nokia is offering. I still like my T68i better though, but if I didn’t have one, I’d probably get this phone.

The size seems great, and the look is good as well. However, I don’t want to see "This program has caused an error" or my battery only lasting 1 hour.

When is this phone scheduled to be released? Would like to see a test drive of this phone, with pictures, hehe.
