this is strange... having a siemens thread in a sony ericsson discussion forum:-D. but i like siemens phones. before i got mt t65 i was using an m35i. what a great phone that was! anyway, anybody know how the s55 stacks up to the venerable t68i? i read somewhere sometime ago that the s55 was siemens' answer to the t68i. any views/comments on this?

When i got my S55 i thought of it (and still do) as a T68 on steroids, faster GUI, polytones, proper filesystem, configurable shortcuts etc.
When i play with my T68 or S55 today the displays are woeful
still nice phones though!
I would still rank the T68m highest though, but frankly that is more emotional than practical. I feel it had too much features for its "engine" still a milestone in mobile phones history!

i think siemens is losing the mobile phone wars right now. with samsung and motorola gaining ground. siemens lost the ball. don't get me wrong, siemens people, siemens make great mobiles. but they lost whatever advantage they had sometime ago. with poor marketing and poor network support of the local telcos (especially here in my country). i do hope siemens bounces back into the game and with their support of cannondale and the like, and making and releasing great products, siemens will, hopefully, get right back on track!
