The price plans are a bit high, but then hey they will not have a walled garden like 3 so well done.

That's excellent news. Minimal branding on a V800 on O2. My next handset. :-D This message was posted from a S700

There were three things about this article, which I found most interesting:

O2 mention that they will be procuring future handsets, in part, from NTT DoCoMo. Perhaps the UK is set to get more Japanese style handsets, let's hope so.

O2 appear to have rather poor 3G network coverage; the article states that they are aiming for 50% coverage by June 2005, which means that their current coverage must be under 50%. It might be wise for anyone considering purchasing an O2 3G handset to check that they are within O2's 3G coverage.

The V800 is, rather annoyingly, not listed in the chart of handsets that accompanies the tariffs. It might be that the V800 won't be avilable right away, or perhaps O2 simply haven't decided on a price for it yet.

i am most interested to hear that O2 chooses to go live with a 3G network that can not at all compete with the coverage that their competitors offer.

Who would take out an O2 3G subscription knwoing that?
