Please anyone that can help I'd be grateful.My son has put his sim in his fathers phone,was only in there for a minute or two and now fathers phone keeps saying "Insert sim card". He needs it for work tonight and if I dont fix it Im going to have tell him what my son done(reallllllllllllllllllllllllly dont want to do that)lol,PLEASE anyone any suggestions???. I've cleaned it and same thing happening.My sons sim is a vodafone my husbands is O2(Nokia 3310)
eyes glued now for any help!!!!!!!!

Sounds like your putting it in the wrong way or something. Usually it would say enter PUK code or Network Code. Putting a different Sim card into the phone shouldn't change anything? Anyone else?

definately inserted properly,my son can be a little ermmmm devil and believe me this will have father hitting the roof with son's head lol if I dont fix it soon al need to go buy a new one for him but it will cause havoc in here....

Make sure it looks like thst. Also try spraying window cleaner over the connection and leaving it to evaportate(not too much!!!!!)

Ok grab the voda sim and see if that works when in the phone to make sure it's the sim we have a problem with and not the connections on the phone

I'm gonna keep posting so hopefully someone with some more technical know how than me will look at this! Googled it and it looks like this happens a lot. didn't get any answers but all fingers point to the connections on the phone. Anyone know whereabouts they are and whether you can access them with out a T6 COME ON PEOPLE!

Do you mean the connections between the phone and the sim?

Cos they're the 3 metal strips, where the gold contact on the sim meets the phone.

It would help, either way, to identify whether the problem is with the sim or the phone, so shall we wait for Amberz to reply?

sorry I was making tea lol. I tried my sim(vodafone) and its still the same message?..I've sent my daughter for a new sim card incase I cant find an answer,but it looks maybe like its the phone? geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez help me lol
