Hi guys & girls

I run gprs, and T-68 with SW R2A.

I can retrieve my email,..this part works fine.

BUT when trying to send mail, the T-68 does this:

Searching for server...
found server....
sending mail (and the name of mail)....
AND THEN THIS MESSAGE COMES AFTER A WHILE : failed to send mail !

Any ideas, please ????

Jan

Eamonn : yes I have.

I'm wondering about a thing. In some of the email-settings from different countries, which I've seen,... you have to write a DNS-number, in the DATACOMM-settings.
And in others you dont.

My internet-provider has 2 DNS-numbers (the "primary" and the "secondary"), when I look in my internet-settings.

I'm not sure what to do here,..do I write a DNS-number or dont I ??
I've tried to write it in the DATACOMM/account-settings,..didnt work.

.

try primary first as there is only 1 option in the t68 for DNS, then secondary if it doesnt work

Good luck!!!

Eamonn : I did try the primary DNS,..same result,..nothing happened

I'll have a go with the secondary then, hehe.

Maybe my internet-provider doesnt allow me to write emails, only recieve..hmmm.
They do say, that I can use mobile-phone for emails,..so I guess, I would be able to both send and recieve.

Eamonn :

No I cant read it via wap either, and the wap-part isnt the subject here.

I'm not trying to access it via wap. I'm trying to set it up, using my ordinary internet-account.
Using the Email-client in the T-68, not the wap.

I have made a data-account called internet (for email use) and so on.

No luck yet,..but working on it

have u talked to ur provider about this?

& by the way, you can access e-mail via wap in the e-mail client if ur Service provider supports it. Most should.

My internet-provider told me it should be possible.

I do go to a wapsite,..here I can read my email,..but thats not really the issue.
This part I allready got

The wap-settings and so on, were easy enough.
But I dont want to go on wap, to read my email.

I want the damn EMAIL-client in the phone to work correctly
