Can anyone describe to me how to get the key flip aprt at the hinge? I have swapped over the keys and the PCB in the flip, but cannot remove the hinge mechanism from the old flip!

There must be a trick, and I'm missing it.......

I made a pdf a long time ago on this guide. I no longer have the file. I thought I had posted about this in the thread earlier, but seems like I forgot or the Submit didnt work at the time for me.. oh well.. Anyway, I don't have the pdf anymore. Maker yer own if you want one or ask knight4led if he still has it.
All I did was copy the text and the pictures into word, did some small changed and made a pdf of it. Took less then 10 mins, should be fairly easy to do for you who have time to do it. I know I don't.
So please don't memo me asking for the file.

I don't still have the files associated with this nor lordmike's pdf version. I am on a different computer in a different country and have reverted back to my old T616 to use the 850 band. I am glad people still find this guide and still think it's useful, but I am no longer a good source for info about this stuff.

@knight4led
Hehe I guess ppl have been messing you about it too then?
I think I have received 30-40 pm since I made that pdf

I'm just on another computer, not in another country. I could make another pdf, but people can just read it here.

I've had my P910i for over two years now. (Paid $650.00 cash for an unlocked model). I've dropped it, kicked it, stepped on it, and yet there's no damage to the hardware and not a single dead pixel on the screen. However, my keypad started to wear out because of everyday use and so I decided to remove the flip. But now my phone looks ugly in it's original housing (because of the number of times I dropped it, it has a lot of scraped paint on it).

I am thinking of getting a crome case from e-Bay but they don't give any instructions on how to disassemble your original housing and reassemble your P910i with the new crome housing. On this forum I read about how to disassemble, but I'm not comfortable using the same logic backwards to reassemble. Do any of you have instructions on reassembling the P910i??? I've never done this before so I'm trying to be extra cautious about putting in a new case.

Considering the durability of my original case ALONG WITH the $650.00 price I paid for the phone, I want to be sure I'm doing the right thing by getting a new case for my phone. Any suggestions on how to do this right would be greatly appreciated!!!

but if you paint how will you protect the numbers/abc that is on the keypad?

Put selletape over the keypad then cut out where you want to paint leaving the sellotape on the buttons

hey, can you give me some tutorial: I want to open my P910i flip, because some keys aren`t working well - especially "back" and "c". I want to look inside and maybe change PCB - how to disassemble it?
