You can get them flashed with generic software by Nokia which unlocks them. Costs £20.
flashing with generic software does not unlock them according to someone who works at a nokia service centre

my 6680 is locked to "3", i let it flash with orig nokia fw, but its still locked. as the former poster mentioned, it wont unlock it. "3" would give me the unlock code for 390 euro, or if i would have a contract, after 18 month i get the code for 99 euro.

EDIT: Yeh i was just pointing out that you can get them unlocked. try contactint those ppl and see if they "know a guy"
