SE's Z line is made by another company. mainly in asia.
his post is probably not. it would also be a very logical way of thinking. only way to be sure is wait and see if its really 17mm.

what i dont get, if the thread starter pop up here 2 days ago with this news, why no new infos? where and when was it announced? i mean, to spread this news on a se dedicated forum, some more and detailed datas would be more then welcome. except some russian sited i didnt find anything on net about this new z fone...
