A good move imo, they need to expand "downwards", not everyone can afford top of the range.

Agreed, it would be nice to see SE appealing to more customers with a broader range of products. The K500 is a step in that direction too.

It's certainly a possibility, it might also be a sign that SE now feel confident enough about their market position to be able to expand their product range and attempt to expand their market share.

I think this is just the K500 for the asian market with different housing. At least the specs read the same. Not exactly a low end phone I think
