are orange connected to 3? the name of 3s parent company is hutchinson whampoa, while orange are owned by hutchinson telecom. any connection?

Orange hasn't been owned by hutchinson whampoa for quite a while now. Orange is actually owned by France Telecom.

dont know if anyone else knows this but Orange will soft launch 3g on wed of this week (8/12/2004) and phones will go on sale fri (10/12/2004) at launch will be the sanyo D750, SE Z1010 and LG U8150. the moto to be lauunched is the C975.

Who was it that thought that Orange was still owned by Hutchinson???
we were sold to France Telecam in 1997. which is why you will never see orange shares on the FTSE. as were listed as FT shares in France!
