It’s surprising how light, happy and carefree it is over on this “dark side”!

I’ve said it before, but I love my 4S, it’s a joy to use.  It’s everything the iPhone should be and more, super stable, super fast, gorgeous graphics, and the first iPhone I can honestly say is a great *phone* with strong reception, great call quality and consistently fast 3G performance (on Vodafone in the UK).  Battery life is very good in my experience, it always gets through the day with plenty in reserve, no matter how heavily I use it. On top of all that the camera is a revelation; I take a lot of pictures and have a 17 month old daughter so usually annoy my wife by insisting on lugging cameras everywhere, but the 4S is the first phone that has really, properly changed that, and makes me feel like I’ve got a good camera in my pocket already – and not just a phone cam.

Honestly not sure what they can pull out of the bag for the iPhone 5 that would tempt me – that may be Apple’s biggest problem at the moment.  Of course they can add a bigger screen and make it 4G, but both of those will have a significant downside in terms of larger size, and worse battery life.  I’m not sure what if any plans there are to bring 4G to the UK but chances are it’ll be a long time before it reaches the generally rural areas I live and work in, and to be honest there’s nothing I do on the phone now that 3G leaves me waiting for – I’m just not sure what the killer app is supposed to be.  It’s obvious that the A5 processor has plenty of spare capacity to zip through whatever else Apple throw into iOS6 or iOS7

I don’t use iCloud – I’m quite happy plugging in and keeping everything on the mac – but I still love the fact that I haven’t (accidentally) lost a single text, contact, or anything else since I got my first iPhone back in 2008.

Ressy, indeed I have no going back either I love my classy iPhone
even if im paying buckets for it for the time being

I would recommend you go and play with one urself

@ Boinng,

your lucky you get good signal on Vodafone at my end its gone utter crap
I was having to use my Sure signal on all the time,
but ive now moved onto 0range I didn't wanna do this cos I like voda
but the iPhone well i wanted it and have payed the price now where i shoulda waited lolz

btw I can't find any fault with the iPhone at all
it takes everything you throw at it i mean I use my iPhone for almost everything which it does
and gotta admit its well worth it its a absolute treasure

I think how iPhones charge up is abit odd plug in charger about few mins later it boots up
I turn it of but then I can't see if its finished charging so what way do you charge them up
off or on? lol

I know the Zig-zag means it charging and the Plug icon means its donethere was a instance where I took it of and checked my useage and it hadn't reset I can only assume I didn't allow it to fully charge

btw odd way to recharge but great bit of kit
if anything happened to it i would go into mourning

Looks like a mini-iPad, i like it though, but yeah, where's the flash?
I hope its more palm-friendly unlike the 4 and 4S which i find painful to use for long periods of time, although their design looks great, i find the 3G/3GS design far more palm-friendly.

The fact that it has no flash there makes me think another fake now. Apple would not miss off a flash
