@DocTorpor
Is it the same as M600īs or did it shift somewhere towards QVGA?

m600 has qvga. qvga means quarter vga. vga means 640*480= 307200 pixels. a quarter of 307200 is 76800. 76800 pixels means 320*240.
simple, right?

Yes antichrist, QVGA is 320*240 pixels. That's a very common resolution for phones nowadays. M600i has this resolution, so it has a QVGA screen. I'm not sure what cornegg meant by his remark.

The anticipated next step in resolutions is VGA (640*480) on small screens. We'll have to wait a bit longer for those to appear. E-ten announced a model with small screen VGA, the X800 (see CeBit special on Esato homepage).
I don't think SE will be on the forefront when it comes to moving to VGA.

@ DocTorpor, can you tell us anything about the camera UI? (And the name is P700i, right? )

@deuxani, UI of the camera looked the same like the one used in the P990.

About the name: you found an XML-config file on the SE server mentioning a phone named "P700i". I don't think SE is intentionally making up false profiles to create smokescreens here...
The proto I saw hadn't been 'type approved' so the housing said 'SE123'. However the FW mentioned the phone being a P-series. You do the maths

Unles they are scrapping the m series and having two type of P series...

P7xx etc in the form factor of the M600i

P1xxx etc in the form factor of the P990 (with flip)...

Might be a good way to group their smartphone together, of course leaving the walkman version with the W9xx cause that fits in with that line....

@ DocTorpor, thanks for both answers. I was expecting a K-series type of camera UI, but the P990i's version looks good enough. How many color versions do you know of? The black-silver one and a completely black one... or is there more?

Btw... maybe the M-series was made for UIQ smartphones without a camera.
