@Superluminova

They should be releasing more handsets next year, hopefully there will be something with a touch of the innovative about it.

@T68 MMS

The horizontal alignment is to give a the handset a greater sense of being a camera in addition to making it easier to use as such. The S700 also has horizontal alignment of displayed text when in camera mode.

I think the k700 was way better with the softkeys, the way the circle continues into the number keys (lighter part of 1,2,3) and onto themes on the screen - just hte proportions i didnt like - too wide each side of screen.

Um it interesting how the image on the screen has been shown that way. i dont believe it actually. SE always have it so that when held horizontally you take the picture with the screen on the right and keypad on the left. i guess that is because the "capture" button on a standard camera is always on the (top) right of it and so holding the phone how i said (screen right keypad left) you have the same layout as a standard camera. they enforce this by the direction of the text on the back of the phone, so that it can be read when the phone has hte screen on the right and keypad on the left. (im saying that alot) SE wouldnt change this orientation...

@expansion

The S700 has a 'keypad' (the directional pad and the soft keys) on the left hand side when in camera mode.

Hmm this is true. Thats prob because of the rotation of the screen etc. SE would be dumb to change it..anyway its obvious it is jsut a 3D model and the screen ahs been photoshopped on there... so we'll see!

If these are going to be the final look what is that piece of rubber between the softkeys, it better not be a menu key like motorola.

That bit of rubber above the keypad looks naff methinks; better to move the joystick up... perhaps it's not a finished design tho... I thot eldar had said it was still a ways from being a production model. Overall I like, but the joystick/softkey area seems unfinished.
