T610 = New Idea

WTF, When will SE come up with a totally new phone, like the P series, and the Z and the T6,

Sad really, you know ericsson are controlling the business, when no new changes are made,

T18 T28 ETC

T610 was NOT a new idea. It was entirely based on T68i with a better screen, attached camera, and a few other stuff. For me the T610 was a good improvement to the T68i, basically an evolution.
The T68i was a revolution. THAT phone was a new idea that made any other phone like a piece of crap.
SE needs a phone like that nowdays, to leave everybody speechless....as the T68 did 3 years ago when it was announced at Cebit 2001.

ericsson and sony don't have the money for such a revolutionary phone and it isn't as "easy" as in the days of the T68 to make such revolutions - a revolution would be, to release a OLED displays with a 65k display and a 2mp cam which also records vids and a phone which has a inpult harddisc with 2 gigs ... just guess the price [nobody would buy something like that]
as a company you get more money with a middle class phone which has the same hardware as all the others on the market, maybe with some differences in the software and a better cam and long range bluetooth and a better display - that enough to win the race

So this is not about the T650, but about some improved "a la Nokia" style phone.Oh, well, from my point of view, they r doing it cuz the demand is so high.I won't be buying another phone for a year or so, unless i sold my T610 now,add 130$ and get a 6600...cuz the damn phone is so cheap and i don't wanna pass the oportunity. But if i don't do that, i'll hang on until a MB camera-phone comes up, or no

hmm and i really wanted a t630, even though i know it's not really that reasonable to get it now, im afraid of the keybad...but i wish i could see what the t650 looks like and some specs too.

i think se has to match the new quadbands. if you live in the US and trave outside and inside the country, both 850/900 are essential. going back to the east coast as well as some areas in mid america like chicago, that 850 band is crucial, as well as in other countries 900 is the major bandwith used. aside from that, id just like to see more memory, faster interface, and maybe a 1.3 mp camera. thats really more than enough pixels to view on any 65k screen, tft, rft, whatever-FT screen you have. and video - eh...unless we can do video conferencing i'm not too interested in that. i rarely use the camera anyways, maybe cuz its only good in bright daylight (but then you cant see the screen - haha a bit ironic isn't it)

sorry for the long post, i tend to do that, i gotta focus my thoughts. =)

i'm afraid that a mobile phone can't get any revolutionary then it has become nowadays, we got satelite phones, we got 3G that supports video-conferencing, some rumors are about watching television on a mobile phone.

i think that is the end of inovation on technical front for mobile handheld phones.

Other then that they can only enhance what they have developed,
and that could go on for years....
IMHO.

btw for those of you who say that t68i was a revolution and t610 is just an evolution, well from what perspective, i mean for a business user with a laptop even t39 is still an excellent choice but for a medium business man that also plays games etc. it's probably crap already.....
so in my opinion t39 was the best phone ever, i mean wasn't t68i only an evolution over the t39? it only added a colour screen and mms...

though i agree that t68i was a revolution but i also think tat t610 was a SE revolution (new menu layout etc. and they are probably going to follow this tracks for some time (all in one package)...)

ok i'm a litlle long but the point is that you can't really say this phone is a revolution and this is crap because you have to look at a phone from all views.....
even n-gage is a revolution if you look at what it offers for the price, though the designes should be executed....

I agree phones can't get way more evolutionary innovative, but what is stilll lacking is the balance of current technologies in a single phone.

The point of which is each of the phone variations/models we've got available.

Which one has the 'perfect' balance, is IMHO, a matter of personal preference.

By now, i'm happy with my t610, hopefully the t650 is comming soon and its way better. And i'll get one.

Now lemme tell you what i want out of this T650 since i such a huge fan of the T610.
-Mp3 Player (A must)
-Flash for camera(It would be nicer than buying that little attachment)
-MSDuo (what phone isnt good without external memory)
-Symbian (it works for my P800, Why not the T6** Series)
-262k Colors (Well by the time this phone is released, it should be normal for Europe)
-Mega Pixel Camera (It may be a bit much but Come On!)
-Mp4 (Hey, I like my P800 for little clips and i would enjoy it even more on My t610 so why not)

Now i know what your thinking. What is this man smoking. but no phones really anounced for this year, so what calls us for next year. I hear people complaining Japan and Hong Kong are a year ahead of us and this phone probobly wont be out for another year so it has perfect timing. Plus Sendo is doing this besides the 262k color and MegaPixels so why not SE. Well What do you think?
