Yes, but I guess I've seen too many photoshopped pics that, by all means have nice design, look like crap because it has totally wrong font.

Bein an Ericsson 'fan' and the major reason I continue with Sony (Ericsson), it saddens me that the p series is dead. It is the legacy that is the R380 and a design so unique and far ahead of its time then that it simply said technology and innovation. SE should reinvent this product after murdering it with the p990i. I know a lot of people have lost faith but with the right tweaks and revamp it can still be what it was meant to be- technologically advanced SE flagship.

They better come up with a real good pseries fon. The P800 was wow what a concept. The P900 was hey that is what we really wanted. The P920 was good and the P990 was ok

Precisely Residentevil! The introduction of a p series from and after the p800 had us all in awe until the p990i. I still want that p800i/910i screen not the p990i's slightly shorter screen and I still want the qwerty keyboard. Add to that the best features and I'm more than happy. Is this too much to ask for?

Apparently - yes -. It looks like for SE that hiend/cutting edge market has become less important. The middle to low end is where the profits (and obviously their interests are). After all last year SE just just managed to 'overtake' LG and Siemens. Now SE is by 0.2 or so percent the biggest among the small cell manufacturers, beating Alcatel, Siemens and just, just LG :) Unfortunately this 'Victory' come at a price - and guess who is paying it ? :(

@mario2004

Here you go again!

Figures from Bloomberg:

Quote:Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, in fourth place, increased sales and won market share to 7.7 percent from 6.7 percent. In the No. 5 spot was LG Electronics Inc, with a market share falling to 6 percent from 6.5 percent. LG is suffering because it isn't offering enough different phones, Milanesi said.

While Nokia and Motorola are competing for market share in the emerging markets they are doing this at the expense of profits.

Nokia Shares Decline on Motorola Warning
Quote:"It could be that Motorola has now crashed against a hard wall and no longer can get a price premium with its outdated Razr product family," said analyst Jussi Hyoty at FIM Securities. "If Motorola has advanced with cheaper models, it may have affected Nokia's market share as well."

on the other hand has managed to double profits and increase market share.

So you could argue that is the more successful company at the moment.

refuses to make bargain basement handsets, which is how Moto and Nokia are competing in emerging markets and until it does then global market share for won't be increasing much anytime soon.

It would appear that size is of some preoccupation with you! Do you think you need to talk to someone about that?
