Then they will try & block that too but I doubt they can ever block it worldwide Look at Expansys front page

At first i thought that would be a mock up or a joke but a quick check with Expansys and its really there. This is how i think this could be Apples worst mistake yet, which explains the drop in shares - even retailers have had enough of the nonesense. That S tape sums it up for iPhone 4 owners especially the ones who would normally upgrade when a new phone is announced.

Sad about Steve passing away though, that surely will put a black cloud over Apple's latest phone release for them.

You know what the best advice for iPhone 4 owners is? Keep your iPhone 4 and try iOS 5 when it is released on October 12th then you can see if keeping the iPhone 4 for another year is a better idea then getting an iPhone 4S and then wait for the iPhone 5.

I've been running the beta and on Tuesday I upgraded to the gold master, which is the final release.

The notifications are excellent now and I no longer have a reason to jailbreak.

You don't get Siri in iOS 5 for the iPhone 4... you'll need the 4S for that.

I haven't done much with iCloud yet as it has been a bit flakely and unreliable but I plan to move my data(contacts/calendar etc) there this weekend.

I don't use twitter so the twitter integration isn't of any use to me but fortunately its been done well so that I hardly notice it.

The reminders are excellent. I particularly like the location based reminders.

imessage is an excellent replacement for texting too as you can send pictures/videos/locations/texts etc to another iOS5 device, and as my family and many friends have iphones this will get used heavily.

I thought I'd use wireless syncing more than I do, but as I charge via USB anyway my sync still mostly happens that way too.

there's quick access to the camera on the lock screen now, and you can use the volume buttons to take the pic.

the ipad gets some good changes too such as tabs in safari and more gestures, such as swiping the page to switch between apps.

The advice to try your iphone 4 with iOS5 before jumping to 4S is probably a good one.
For those who aren't yet familiar with the changes, look here

Why doesn't Siri work on the IP4 is it not part of iOS5 or is it part of the hardware on IP4S?

each device has its own separate build of iOS that gets applied by itunes

As I am now running the release version it would seem that the iPhone 4 isn't going to get this (or at least not initially).

There is a small possibility that it is there but won't activate until the 12th. We've seen Apple do this before in the app store app where the "purchased" functionality started being visible in the updates tab on the day they previewed iOS5

Apparently Siri was App freely available in the App store until last year when Apple bought the company for $200 Million and made it there own..needless to say Apple has since pulled the Siri App from the App store.

Location based reminders sound cool, but i find it a bit stupid that iPhone 4 users wont be getting Siri.

so who preordered what (if any).
I ordered the 64gb white as planned. Daughter inherits the 32gb iPhone 4 I'm currently using so I'll be selling her 32gb 3gs to help cover the cost of the 4S.

can't wait! Apart from Siri, I'm probably more excited of having 64gb finally than anthing else as I'm fed up juggling my content into 32gb

I give apple that credit in respects to having more room in there phones
only Nokia have managed to cram 32GB in so far but the others are still stuck

btw enjoy it mass if you all look at the 4S without getting ur socks in a twist then you can simply see
that this phone is a gap before there next one, I actually sat and thought about this but what Apple have done is pretty well what they should of done anyway this 4S will be upthere now with the likes of others for a few months now till No.5 arrives, the design isn't that bad of the iPhone btw why change it?

wait for 2012!
