You see, last year at CeBit 2004 SE showcased the S700, the K700 and the P910 as well as releasing the following -

• Z500: Clamshell VGA camera phone with EDGE and Push-to-talk to be released exclusively in the northamerican market (GSM 850/1800/1900). support and exchangeable covers, but NO Infrared or Bluetooth. For Q3.
• T637 and T237 for the northamerican market, exact versions of the known T630 and T230.
• MMV-100 Multimedia Viewer: An innovative accesory that plugs to any common Television
• HCB-300 Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit:
• HBH-600 "Akono" Bluetooth Headset:
• GC83 and GC85 EDGE PC cards with detachable antenna.
• HCA-200 Advanced Car Handsfree Kit:
• HPS-20 Portable Handsfree:
• IAC-25: Active Case for most phones and versatile design that can be attached even to the user's arm.

Now I can't see SE showcasing the same models as they did last year, can you? The V800 is not exactly new anymore is it. So SE will come up with the goods this year without a doubt

@Pinnolo77. If there is a demand from the operators ie. Vodafone, for more 3G handsets and they approach SE then SE will simply have to come up with the goods of the business will go somewhere else.

SE will no doubt release more 3G handsets this year, but I would imagine that they may want to wait until they are ready to release UIQ3 non-touchscreen smartphones. 3G smartphones would be a huge boost for SE and it help cement their position at the top end of the 3G market.

3G adoption is increasing ever more rapidly in Europe, the UK already having four consumer 3G networks in operation. I can't see why SE wouldn't release a budget 3G handset to take advantage of the millions of customers who will be looking to move to 3G this year. SE, being a relatively small company in comparison to Nokia or Samsung, may not have the capacity to compete in significant terms in both the 2.5G and 3G markets, so they may try to focus on one more than the other or they may decide to compete in both markets in a limited fashion.

All of the larger manufacturers probably have more pull over se when comes to getting the likes of Arima to manufacture their products, they must have limited capacity.

a "cheap" 3G phone can be expected.
if the rumored Clara is real, and really has new connectors, we can see a few new acc aswell. like DSS-30 and CSS-30
the HBH-200 could have a succesor
2 symbian OS phones from SE this year. P930 and P1000 (names not official)
2 clamshells, a S700 style phone but smaller.
thats about it i think. not much i know...

@bart

Where did you get your information from?

When you say 'Symbian OS', I presume you are meaning UIQ3?

1st off Symbian is a nature os more nature than microsofts mobile iterations, and just as powerful. Epoc is its roots, and was on the Ericsson R380? The gui all different cause not all phones have keyboards. This message was posted from a Z600
