I see the same questions being asked over and over in the market forums and though we have previously discussed this in brief I thought it was time to have a list for people to use as a guide of what they should mention when posted items for sale

What are you selling?
what colour is it?
What condition is in it? describe any marks etc and if there is any function not working correctly
is is branded?
is it locked?
what accessories come with it? is it boxed?
what is the starting (minimum) price? BIN?
what payment methods accepted?
are trades accepted?
what is the ending time?
what is the location of the item and what locations you are prepared to deal with

and lastly... POST PHOTO'S!

please feel free to reply if anyone has a suggestion to add to this list

Also, a subset of this list can be used for wanted ads to give a better indication of what you're really looking for

I'm not sure how that helps with what description should be given when selling on Esato

but anyway... while bumping this I'll also say that I don't think it is good practice, especially from reputable sellers, to delete the description in the first post when an item is sold. I've seen this activity quite a bit too, including today.

If there is ever a dispute when the item is received about, say, the condition or some other aspect of how the item was dscribed, then there is nothing to go back to compare with

any other comments/additions to my list in the first post?
