Right. ..btw, I couldn't find anything in the theme.xml files for the call- screens. ..Where did you change the incoming call screen?

I think the background for the incomming call is the same as for the dialog boxes, as it's asking if you want to answer.

@Nipsen

If you want to change the appearance of the dialog box for incoming callis, it is enough if you modify or replace the png files. No need to add or modify the commands in the xml file.

The files for incoming calls should be the ones starting with Listbox*.png and should be a total of 3 files, one for the upper box, one for the line between upper and lower box and one for the lower box.

But you don't need to extract the contents of the theme file for that.
Editing via SE Theme Editor should be more convenient..

...man, I'm slow. It's the patch for the background on the "dialog" element, and that one works fine. But the /outgoing/ call doesn't use the same reference. (a penny drops faster in zero gravity..)

Nipsen, I don't get what you are trying to do there...

Would you mind explaining it ?

This has been discussed here:

..um, like AD says, the phone- app uses the 'dialog' subset in the current theme. Except the outgoing screen seems to use the other file you mentioned. And it doesn't seem to even have a patch in the theme.

So.. it's a glitch, that's for sure..

yes, I'd a suspicion it was - have spent the last few months hoping that someone involved in the development of the theme editor would notice and correct it........but I guess that makes me a hopeless optimist

But now - a new hope! It's on the wiki & esato, so surely somebody at SE will see it and realise the harm this oversight is causing to the aestheic pleasure of using one of their premier devices, and so how this reflects on their corporate image as a whole.........or will they just say "meh, who cares - we've got their money already...."

Ladies and gentlemen - place your bets!!!

lol. One virtual Washington on SE deciding to stop any development and support, after deducing that without the support and development, there would be no complaints. And no embarassment when the firmware is hacked, and everyone can see what kind of amateurs they've hired to patch the initial passable job over two years ago.

I'll give everyone 1 to 8 on SE realising they need to stop hiring tennis- stars, and hire more coders instead.
