I am woundering if anyone else can get 3g speeds using there K850i as a modem. I was talking to Sony (3 different times today) and first they told me to get a new sim card, then they said that the PC suite will not support 3g speeds but only gprs speeds. I am content with the gprs speeds but I hate know that I have access to something faster. If anyone else is having this problem or knows how to fix it that would be great.

I do get a 3g symbol on my phone, yes. But Sony is telling me that their PC Suite will only operate on GPRS. I had seen in another thread that someone had a screen shot showing they were connected in 3g.

look thats automatic, dont use pc suite for conection, try to conect, using your navigator, and put the usb conection, to your data internet provider yo doit in settings on your phone, your data not wap, sorry for my bad english i forgot and usb mode put usb phone as modem

Hi

I use V640i (HSDPA) and V800 (3G) as modems for my Laptop.
On XP sp2 > Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet connections > Setup or change your internet connection > Follow the prompts from there

Speeds I get are:

V640i


V800
