A touchscreen blackberry..yes, here it is..

"The BlackBerry Thunder, as it is codenamed now, will launch in Q3 of this year. It is a full touchscreen BlackBerry — no slide out keyboard — with only 4 physical keys. Those are the send / end phone keys, the BlackBerry menu key, and the back key. Here is the most interesting part, though: it will launch as a worldwide lifetime exclusive on Verizon and Vodafone! We’ve heard the unit will be a hybrid device with CDMA EV-DO Rev. C (for clarification, Rev C., known as UMB is practically dead. If the device will indeed launch with a 4G solution, our bet is on LTE), and GSM HSPA for traveling internationally. Verizon and Vodafone will have the same unit. Currently, the model number is the BlackBerry 9500, though it’s very early and that’s likely to change. This is HUGE for the Verizon lovers. For once they’ll get an exclusive device, but Verizon will have a sales quota for the device and if they don’t meet those numbers, we’ve heard the exclusivity will then dissolve and it’s over. This will be extremely interesting to see play out." - Boygeniusreport

Hi all,

Well that was the rumored Touch screen BB i was talking about a short while ago in the Blackberry thread and it does indeed look very interesting. What i do find even more interesting though is the fact it will be a Verizon in the US and Voda else where exclusive, as of late Voda seem to be really changing gear towards supporting Data devices and seem to be getting quite a few exclusives whilst there at it.

Previously i had not been a great Voda fan but must say since joining them last November to get the N95 8GB as early as possible they have slowly but surely won me over. The best bit is that you can upgrade up to two months before your contract ends so for me that is from September to November just in time for all these nice new devices to appear and it looks like the last quarter of this year could be quite exciting.

Marc

now this is quite a nice blackberry,my sisters boyfriend has the one of the curves 8300,8310,8320 and one of the 88** series lol
he loves his blackberrys - i like them too great phones.

and ive been reading quite abit about the bold 9000 and thunder 9500(the no. might change)
..anyways im liking the design verymuch smooth, simple buttons around the device..to simplify operations so you dont always have to use the touchscreen..im guessing lol
edit:and im realy enjoying the interface:)
