Isn't that thread just for pictures taken with C702? This is for the C902, mate.

I've got a 902, received today on Vodafone UK. I am seriously unimpressed with the photos, particularly as my last phone was a K850i.

My main gripes:

1) With the K850 I always found the Twilight Portrait the most useful mode (clubs and pubs etc), and I would then adjust the flash accordingly. This mode has been removed.

2) The flash (if you can call it that, SE do, but it's very weak) now only has two modes: AUTO and OFF. Everyone knows that for good photos AUTO functions are generally rubbish and this is no exception.

3) No more red laser thing. This really helped with knowing when to press the button the whole way down and also stabilised the shots. There is a slight blue glow but not as good. Then again I am colourblind...!

4) No more red eye reduction (red thing and two flashes).

The net result is poor photo quality. They may have jacked it up to 5mp but the photos from my old phone are much better.

I'll post a standard living room shot of my dog with each camera so you can tell:

Mine is Vodafone and despite it being described in the instruction manual you cannot use the geographic tagging feature.

Having said all this I'll have to keep it as I want a cameraphone and I want a SE.

How sad that they chose form over function for the camera.

The red eye reduction mode has been removed due to the phone not having a xenon flash and also because of the face detection function which should adjust this automatically.

Have just finished debranding and setting up my O2 C902 and have taken a few pictures indoors on Auto settings.

The flash fired with this one.

My phone takes good pictures in that kind of light but struggles in dim light. If you use the zoom at all it goes blurry even with the flash.

The inability to turn the flash on manually is my biggest issue.

That and having the geotags without the ability to use a map to see them, even though it says you can in the manual.

How did you de-brand yours?
