How do I ensure when using fring on the P1 that it's not connecting using O2 but using my wifi instead?
any ideas?

Hi eske,

Open Fring and the choose options Settings, Connection Manager, Settings then choose WiFi only and it will only use WiFi. You could also choose Always ask which will allow you to choose your connection each time, hope that helps you.

the wifi indicator will be visibile and not greyed. if you see it gets greyed out it means that it's not using the wifi anymore.

works on my P1 too -
the question is how to be sure you're NOT using Fring over GPRS / 3G but definitely over wifi?

u can see it under connection manager...
if is wifi da wifi icon is in blue n under connection manager u see da wifi name

but if is GPRS, u will see da wifi icon in gray, n under connection manager u see da GPRS name

if u not sure u using wifi or GPRS, u can disable wifi n dat way can 100% proof u not usin wifi...lol
